There is a question I keep asking myself: can AI agents meaningfully watch, analyze, and defend a network? I want to find out how far artificial intelligence can go be applied to strengthen an organization's security posture by deploying agents for offensive and defensive purposes. The offensive security agents will scan for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and outdated software. Additionally, the defensive agents will monitor the network and detect subtle, complex patterns of malicious activity that slip past conventional tools. To get there, I need to break things to understand them, and write up what works and what doesn't.
